How To Format A Floppy Disk:

Before you can use a floppy disk it has to be formatted, although in this day and age you can buy them pre-formatted.  Bu just in case you have a need to start from scratch here is how you do it:

Steps:

Insert a floppy disk into your floppy drive (usually “A” drive)

Double click the My Computer icon

Right click on the Floppy icon

Select Format, the format dialog box appears

Go up to the capacity area and select “3.5, 1.44MBb 512 bytes/sector)

Click Start
