Creating Shortcut On The Desktop For My Favorite Programs:

Steps: When icon does not appear on Programs Menu

Right Click on the desktop

Select New

Select Shortcut

You will need to know the location and the name of the file (referred to as executable) that starts the program.  The file extension is usually “exe”

Steps: When icon appears on Programs Menu

Click on the Start button

Click on Programs

Locate the program you want to create the shortcut for

Right Click on it

Select Send To
