Overview
Windows 2000 Professional is the workstation version of the Microsoft Windows 2000 family. It is the version that should be installed on an employee's computer. It was designed to include the Plug-N-Play features of Windows 98 and the security benefits of Windows NT. In addition, it featured a new graphical user interface (GUI) similar to Windows ME. Overall, I have found Windows Professional to be very reliable and user friendly.
Although people are using Windows 2000 as a home operating system, it is ideally suited for the corporate/work environment, to be used in conjunction with it's big brother Windows 2000 Server.

John'z notes:
My advice to you is to make sure you are well prepared to take this exam. Microsoft has re-designed this exam to not only test your book knowledge, but also your hands-on experince. To prepare, I would not only spend time reading study materials from multiple books, but also spend some time in a lab environment. Install the operating system and actually work with the Windows 2000 features.
